Museomix is a co-creative, three-day event centred in the heart of a museum that takes place simultaneously in different cities and institutions around the world.
Participants from various creative, digital and cultural communities come together to design and test new devices and interactive experiences of digital museology. These are based on the spaces and contents (exhibitions, collections, architecture, digital content, public spaces, etc.) provided by the museums in question. At the end of the three-day event, the museums open their doors to invite the public to experiment with these new devices and initiatives.
Museomix Mexico 2015 took place at the Museum of the National Palace of Fine Arts producing prototypes for its unique permanent collection of murals including works by Diego Rivera, David Alfaro Siqueiros and José Clemente Orozco.
